[Connie] Laliberte, the Team Canada skip given up for dead when she finished the 11-game, round-robin with only six wins, cranked out three critical victories yesterday to advance to the semifinal today against Ontario's Marilyn Bodogh. Bodogh, who had cruised to first place with a 10-1 record, tumbled from her perch last night, losing 12-7 to Alberta's Cheryl Kullman, whose own game has been improving dramatically as the week wears on. Kullman's victory shoots her directly into tomorrow's championship game to play the survivor of today's Bodogh-Laliberte clash. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
