Yvonne McKague Housser was influenced by the Group of Seven painters and was presented with the Order of Canada in 1984. Mrs. Housser died Friday at a nursing home where she had lived for the past several years. She was 98. Born in Toronto in 1897, Mrs. Housser was a long-time teacher at the Ontario College of Art and a founding member of both the Canadian Group of Painters and the Federation of Canadian Artists.
