Oprah Leads Salary Pack TV Guide has released its annual survey of star salaries, revealing that Oprah Winfrey earns a whopping $385 million a year (all figures U.S.). American Idol judge Simon Cowell makes a paltry $50 million annually by comparison, but at least he beat David Letterman, who earns $32 million. The highest-paid comedy star on prime-time TV is Charlie Sheen at $825,000 an episode of Two and a Half Men; his dramatic counterpart is CSI's William Petersen at $600,000 a show, while Law & Order SVU's Mariska Hargitay takes the female drama crown with $400,000 an episode. Casting Notes Kelli Williams has landed the female lead opposite Tim Roth in Fox's drama pilot Lie to Me. Additionally, Sarah Wright is set to co-star in Fox's comedy pilot The Emancipation of Ernesto, while Margaret Cho and Jackson Hurst have joined Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.
