Calvert said in a telephone interview from Saskatoon, "It's a poor way to run a country when a prime minister stands up and says 'Sue me,' because this is going to take considerable time. It happens when you are in this kind of circumstance where you are betrayed by your own members of Parliament."

"It's not particularly political, in terms of we need a ruling on this that would apply to any federal government as they apply equalization to the people of Saskatchewan," Calvert said. "We need to get this right."
