The Fox Cities Hmong population bid welcome to 2013 with a traditional New Year's celebration -- a festive gathering that began Saturday morning with music, hot food, colorful garments and a ball-toss game designed to catch the perfect mate. Pang Xiong, 27, of Appleton, managed one food table stocked with items prepared by her family -- the owners of Pheng Houa Daily Foods, 343 W. Wisconsin Ave. Some of the choices included egg rolls, deep-fried chicken and baked eggs with a filling of soy sauce, black pepper and salt.
