Reeves served in the U.S. Marine Corps, previously worked in security at an Atlantic City casino and was a volunteer firefighter in Millville for a year before being sworn in as a policeman in January 2004. Besides his humor, Kott said, Reeves was excellent on the job when it was time to get serious.
