CLEARWATER - A discussion about how quickly to develop new water sources erupted into an oral brawl Monday between two members of the West Coast Regional Water Supply Authority.
Hillsborough County Commissioner Ed Turanchik told fellow board members the authority needs to produce 105 million more gallons of water by 2000. If not, he said, Hillsborough would have to rethink its participation in West Coast.
