There's a new weapon in this nation's arsenal against the battle of the bulge, and it's headed to a pharmacy near you.

Called dexfenfluramine, and sold under the brand name Redux, the small white capsules make up the first anti-obesity drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 22 years. Effective in promoting a full feeling in those who take it, the appetite suppressant is touted as safer and more effective than diet pills already on the market.
