ESTEP, Amelia E. 93, of Fairfield, OH went to be with our Lord at home with her loved ones and her devoted cat "Bingo" by her side on Monday Nov. 29, 2010. Amelia was born in St. Joseph's Settlement, Proctor, WV on April 7, 1917, the youngest of ten children of Adam and Theresa Frohnapfel. She was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Estep, [Thomas Tucker Alday Sr.], sons Ronald L. Estep, and John Joseph Estep, Jr. (Big John). Surviving are her daughters, Linda Hipkiss (the late Robert "Bob") of Follansbee, WV, Carole Kueppers ([Gary Vann]) of McAlpin, FL, Marilyn Brashear of Dallas, GA, Mary McDonald ([Bob]) of Reno, NV, Joan Powell (Fred) of Fairfield Twp., OH, and Delores "Dee" Maier ([BROWN, Rick]) of Wilmington, NC; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren; and special to her heart Heather and Jim Brady of St. Pete Beach. Amelia and her husband John owned and operated Estep's Grocery Stores from 1942-1967 in Wellsburg, WV. They retired in 1967 and moved to St. Pete Beach, where Amelia started a new career as a clerk at Lou's Florist from 1969 to 1997, and at the age of 80 again retired. In 2004 she moved to Fairfield OH, to be near family. Amelia loved to garden, play Bingo, and an occasional trip to "The Boat". Interment will be in St. Petersburg. HUNTER, Walter Boyd 85, of Temple Terrace, was called home on Nov. 28, 2010. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. "Dr. Walt" received his dental degree from University of Southern California and practiced for almost 40 years in Van Nuys, CA. He was very active in civic and professional organizations and served as an Elder for over 30 years. Our "Pop" was selflessly dedicated to serving God, family and others. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Hunter; son, Brent Hunter (Gail); daughters, Tina Mowrer (Frank), Becky Copeland (Wilson) and Crystal Hunter; two sisters and a brother; seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-9 pm at the Florida College Academy, 7032 Temple Terrace Hwy, Temple Terrace. Private burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery with military honors. A "celebration of life" service is scheduled for 11 am Saturday at University Church of Christ. ROSSIGNOL, Donald F. 82, of St. Petersburg, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Arbor Oaks Assisted Living under the loving care of Family, Hospice, & the friends and staff of Arbor Oaks. He moved back to St. Petersburg from Asheville, NC in 2008. Born in Frenchville, ME, Don was a World War II veteran. He retired in 1992, from Unisys Corp (formerly Sperry Rand) as an Electronic Test Technician. During his career, he worked on the first Mars probes, Apollo space development, and other government military defense projects. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, a member and volunteer of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Asheville, NC. Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cecile of 56 years; a sister, and two brothers. Survivors include three sons [Paul DeMuth], Denver, NC; Raymond, St. Petersburg; and Michael, Seminole; three daughters Annette Borders, St. Petersburg; JoAn Munger, Hendersonville, NC; Patricia Shelley, Elkin, NC; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Priscilla Bernard, & Muriel Masse; brothers Janel, Claude, & Evan. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at the Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home, 3180 30th Ave. N. St. Petersburg. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1800-12th St. N., St. Petersburg.
