Tampa Bay Storm owner Bob Gries said Wednesday that he intends to sell the franchise at the end of the season, but insisted the team would remain in the Tampa Bay area.
"Things are a little ahead of where I wanted them to be right now," Gries said. "But my intentions are to sell the majority ownership, if not the entire team, as soon as the playoffs are over.
Gries is a senior partner in Coastal Gaming Group, a company contracted by Empress Cruise Lines to operate the gaming facilities on their latest cruise ship, the Imperial Empress. The Imperial Empress is scheduled to begin sailing from St. Petersburg in December.
