A Bradenton woman convicted of racketeering in connection with a charity she established to raise money for children was sentenced Monday to five years in prison and two years of community control.

Deborah R. Harvey was convicted earlier this month on a charge of racketeering. She was accused of a series of thefts by fraud, collecting about $200,000 around the state for the Foundation for Children with Spina Bifida, a charity she created.
