CUNNINGHAM, Thomas Norbert "Ted" 92, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 in Dunnellon. Mr. Cunningham was born in Olean, NY and moved to Dunnellon in 1998 from St. Pete Beach. He was a WWII veteran servingin the U.S. Navy in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii from 1942-1945.He owned his own TV repair business, Cunningham's TV Service on St. Pete Beach in the 1950s-1960s, then joined Sears TV repair service in the mid 1960s until his retirement in 1983. He was a Christian by faith, enjoyed reading the Bible, watching Shepherd's Chapel TV program, fishing, playing golf, was a member of the Hole-In-One Club and spending quality time with his family and his beloved dog Daisy. Survivors include his wife of 63 years LaVerne, sons, Bruce (Stephanie), Orange Park, FL, Glenn (Cheryl), Dunnellon; Kenneth, St. Petersburg; daughter, Donna ([Peter J. Jr.]) Jemmott, Clearwater; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon, Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5-7 pm and at the Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, Seminole, Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5-7 pm.Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, Seminole with entombment to follow at the Garden Sanctuary Cemetery Mausoleum, Seminole. LUCAS, Rev. Norman Edward, 78, of Tampa, entered into heaven on June 17, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dolores (nee Dyer). He was the beloved father of Peter & Terri Lucas of Wesley Chapel, Daniel & Christine Lucas of Tallahassee, Judge [Matthew] & Alexis Lucas of Tampa; beloved grandfather of Lynda, Philip, Jonathan, Virginia, Catherine, James, and William; beloved brother of Liane & Dave Phillips of Cincinnati, OH. Rev. Lucas was pastor of Zion's Lutheran Church in Defiance, OH from 1959 to 1971, where he founded the city's YMCA and was elected to the Board of Education. He abidingly served as pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tampa from 1971 to 1997. He was also proud to be a chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital from 1988 to 2002. In 2005 he was honored as Pastor Emeritus of Good Shepherd. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, 3:30 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 501 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. SBUTTONI, William E. Sr."[Bill]" 72, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, Father's Day. Bill was born in Medford, MA, the youngest of 6 children. He proudly served in the Marine Corps before coming home and falling in love with a nurse then marrying her. Bill served his family his whole life with a devoted heart. He loved to cook, bake, garden, wood carve, tinker, build, fix things & would happily sing or whistle while doing everything. He always wanted to do things for others, even when it was he who needed the most help. His family was so blessed to have had such a fun, optimistic, thoughtful, loving man as a husband and father. What a lover of life! Despite all his trials and suffering over the past decades, they thought he would outlive them out of pure grit and determination. He was a hero and a champion. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, [Betty Russell]; his daughter, Amy (Patrick) Stanley; his son, William (Liz) E. Sbuttoni, Jr.; his daughter, [Sarah Kennedy Scovill] (Stan) Martin; and his seven precious grandchildren: Will, Zack, Olivia, Emily, Macy, Ethan & baby Joey. He also is survived by his sister, Rosemarie (Gene) Gentuso of Medford, MA. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers. He loved his family more than life itself, as they were what gave him his thirst for life and the determination to keep fighting. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2012, 6-8 pm at Serenity Meadows in Riverview. A funeral mass will be Friday, June 22, at 9:30, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seffner, to be followed by a procession to Serenity Meadows for the rendering of Military Funeral Honors. He was so patriotic and proud to be a veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Tampa Shriners Hospital for Children.
