The team also will show off two batting practice jerseys during the ceremony, set for 1 p.m. at the Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Drive in Tampa. The first 500 fans will be admitted free starting at noon. Aquarium members also will be admitted free.
The uniform unveiling is just one in a series of events planned by the team this week, culminating with a FanFest on Sunday at the ThunderDome. "It's a huge week for us," managing general partner Vince Naimoli said.
Sunday: FanFest, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the ThunderDome, featuring free autographs from former major-leaguers, debut of new Devil Rays merchandise, appearances by general manager Chuck LaMar and Naimoli, release of complete season-ticket lottery results, along with kids activities. Admission and parking is free.
