Rugby League Hall of Famers appear on a set of five British special stamps celebrating the centennial of the sport as it moves into a new world "super league" status.

The stamps' release on Tuesday also will coincide with the Centenary World Cup, which Great Britain is hosting.

-- Gus Risman (1911-94), one of only four living players inducted into the Rugby League Hall of Fame at its inauguration in 1988. Risman, known as "a scoring machine," appears on the 25p stamp holding the Challenge Cup. During his 25-year career, Risman accumulated 1,678 goals and 4,050 points in 873 matches.
