University of Florida junior quarterback Danny Wuerffel heads a list of 24 players on the 1995 GTE Academic All-America Team. Wuerffel, who will lead the Gators against top-ranked Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl Jan. 2, earned a 3.67 grade-point average as a journalism/public relations major. The nation's top-ranked passer with a 178.5 passing efficiency ranking, Wuerffel was also honored as the GTE Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for best representing student-athletes.
