Abstract (Document Summary)

Entree excellence: Taste and presentation play equal parts. Salmon takes on vivid brightness draped in a caramelized onion crust ($24). At the right moment, it's pulled from the oven, stacked on a raft of peeled asparagus and placed on mashed potatoes heady with garlic. Beautifully browned sea scallops ($29) recline on bacon-infused roasted spaetzle, paired with caramelized cauliflower, all set in cider sauce - each forkful a compelling combination of flavors and textures. For non-fish eaters, the simplicity of a perfectly prepared 10-ounce grilled filet mignon ($34) fills the bill.

Sweet!: Here's where [Erica Di Battista] shines. Her symphony of chocolate ($9), a chocoholic's dream - chocolate mousse sandwiched between cloud-light chocolate cake, house-made decadent chocolate ice cream, artfully arranged triangles of premium dark chocolate and raspberry coulis drizzled to soften the sweetness ($9). For a down home finish, try the granny smith apple cobbler. At $12, the oversize portion of still-crisp apple slices and streusel-topped pastry is plenty to share.
