South Florida's public schools will receive up to $100 million because the Annenberg Foundation has approved joining a partnership with local governments, businesses and citizens to help pay for education reform. The Southeast Florida Annenberg Regional Challenge - overseen by a coalition of local business leaders and educators - will pay for break-the-mold pilot projects in schools in Broward, Palm Beach and Dade counties during the next five years. Among the local citizens and firms pledging support: American Bankers, BankAtlantic, BellSouth Foundation, Blockbuster Entertainment, Dade County Youth Fair, The Dreyfoos Group, Greenberg Traurig, the Huizenga family, Leonard Miller of Lennar Homes, Jim and Jan Moran/JM Family Enterprises, the John S. and James L.
