"I always say that if my gowns were in color, you'd see them on the red carpet," said Delray Beach-based bridal designer Melissa Sweet. "It's the same fit and flare -- trumpet skirts, mermaid dresses and even a modified A-line. They hint at tradition, but really stand in fashion. Brides want to be alluring, so everything is very body conscious."
