Abstract (Document Summary)

Once again, as happened 10 months ago, sewage from the Hudson Beach restrooms is overflowing, seeping into an adjacent parking lot, then draining onto the public beach. Although sewage runoff is reaching the beach, health officials think it poses no health problems for now.

Pasco County Health Department officials inspected the faltering septic sewage system at the Hudson Beach restrooms on the same morning Pasco Commissioner Mike Wells alerted the rest of the Pasco County Commission to Hudson's beachfront mess.

In an effort to stop the sewage flow into the parking lot of Sam's Hudson Beach Snack Bar next door, Pasco Parks and Recreation Director Chuck Nelson ordered the septic system pumped out late Monday afternoon.
