In the early 1970s, a young Stephen Lamb made national news as one of the Steinhatchee Seven, a band of local men caught in what was then the largest marijuana bust in U.S. history. Nine tons of the illegal weed were seized.
Now a father in his 40s, Lamb is in trouble again. Deputies say he picked up mailed packages containing 82 pounds of marijuana.
Stephen Garrett Lamb, also known as Steve George Lamb, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of trafficking in marijuana. Investigators say Lamb's packages caught the attention of a drug- sniffing dog.
