Abstract (Document Summary)

On Friday, the Citrus County man became a participant in the ongoing effort to legalize physician-assisted suicide in Florida. Along with two other terminally ill men, he is a plaintiff in a lawsuit seeking to overturn the state's 128-year-old law that allows those who help someone commit suicide to be charged with manslaughter.

"I want this law changed," Hall said Friday evening from his Beverly Hills home. "We have the right to live and pay taxes. We should also have the right to choose our own death."

Another plaintiff in the lawsuit is Robert Cron, 72, of Oldsmar, who has mesothelioma, cancer of the lining of the chest cavity. Cron was in Mississippi visiting relatives Friday and could not be reached for comment.
