Abstract (Document Summary)

Ruth," as she was lovingly called by family and friends, was born and raised in Eldorado, Arkansas, to the late Aurola and Henry Robinson. As a child she attended Gardener Elementary and High School in Eldorado, Arkansas. In 1950 Ruth moved to South Bend, Indiana, with her first husband, Clarence Bradford. Later she met Alonzo Bonds and became his wife. Alonzo and Ruth loved to travel to Detroit, Michigan, and Gary, Indiana, visiting family and friends. They also loved to fish and could often be found sitting, fishing, and talking on the bank of the St. Joe River. Ruth and Alonzo loved their family. Many times you would be surprised when you looked out your window to find them parked in front of your house just sitting and watching to make sure that you were OK.
