Abstract (Document Summary)

It's not an oval, and the speed limit is only 45 mph, but the stretch of Lincoln Way West between two roundabouts is going to be dedicated soon in honor of NASCAR driver Ryan Newman.

At one time, Lincoln Way West carried U.S. 20 through town, but that changed with the opening of the St. Joseph Valley Parkway. U.S. 20 now follows the bypass around the south part of the city.

[John Schalliol] isn't sure when the road will be turned over. He said it depends on when the DLZ Corp. finishes its legal surveys and does all the other legal work needed to make the transfer.
