Abstract (Document Summary)
It would appear [Asaad]'s personality, like his athletic prowess, reflects that of his dad. Longtime Berrien Springs resident Dorothy Kesterke, 85, said her late husband, Edgar, would often spot Ali walking from his home on Kephart Lane to the local McDonald's Restaurant. Technically, the property's in Oronoko Township, just outside Berrien Springs. Oronoko Supervisor Ernest Hildebrand said he expects the [Alis] will return on occasion. [Muhammad Ali] and [Lonnie Ali] make their entrance at Niles Senior High School's May 2006 dedication of a new baseball field in Niles. The Alis helped make the ball field a reality, as did several other donors. The couple also contributed to another baseball field in the Niles area. Tribune File Photo; A gate is the first thing visitors encounter at Muhammad Ali's estate on Kephart Lane near Berrien Springs. Ali and his wife, Lonnie, still own the property, but the family recently moved to Arizona.
