Abstract (Document Summary)

Don't get me wrong: if [SANJIV Bhattacharya] hadn't himself starred in The Man with 80 Wives, we'd have had precious little to look at, other than some of the dustier, more blasted-looking backwoods by-ways of north America: Utah, Arizona, British Columbia, west Texas. And as partially-failed TV shows go, Sanjiv's was at least entertaining. It's just a shame his back-to-front, pan-American quest to find his polygamous prey - the elusive Warren Jeffs - came to nought.

Not that the FBI are being particularly assiduous in their search for him, as Sanjiv discovered near the end of last night's programme, when he did what he possibly should have done right at the start. Instead of merely looking forWarren Jeffs by driving diffidently around Short Creek and surfing the internet a bit, Sanjiv went to the FBI and spoke to the agent leading the hunt.

Sadly, the Feebs' man in Phoenix, Arizona, knew less about Warren Jeffs's latter-day lifestyle than Sanjiv did. For instance, he appeared unaware of a monumental temple, located on a ranch in Texas, that was recently constructed by some of Jeffs's devotees.
