Win some, lose some at McGrigors
[Final Edition]

THE Law giveth, and the Law taketh away. At least, that is how it must have felt to law firm McGrigors recently after its London office lost two senior partners, while its Public Private Partnerships (PPP) team helped win a multi-million-pound contract for one of its UK clients, and made its debut in the European market. Mere months after the loss of head of civil tax litigation, Mark Whitehouse, to City of London competitor Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, the Big Four Scottish law firm has now said goodbye to banking and finance partner Stuart Brinkworth, who has gone to SJ Berwin, and barrister Jonathan Fisher QC, who is returning to chambers after just six months at the firm.
