Almost a dozen new apartment projects are in various stages of development in the St. Cloud area, whether they just received city approval or recently opened. Since 2011, St. Cloud has approved five apartment projects with a total of 357 units. Steve Mooney, St. Cloud State University professor of finance, insurance and real estate, said the rental market is boosted by recent college graduates who are having a hard time finding jobs.
