Abstract (Document Summary)

The flamboyant and exotic [Venus Williams] sisters, Venus and Serena, had a big problem yesterday for their doubles final match at Wimbledon.

South African Neville Godwin wasn't fined $500 after all. Godwin allegedly abused a ball girl by yelling at her: "Move your fat legs, you lazy cow." But Godwin had not been warned or fined on the court, no official heard the comment and the referee's office said an investigation showed the charges, made by a team of ball boys and girls, could not be substantiated.

Blackie Sherrod, The Dallas Morning News: "Some eavesdropper came up with a revealing quote from Rickey Henderson, overheard as the outfielder waited in a parking lot: "Rickey don't like it when Rickey's limo is late."
