'Baby Bruins' are grown and need their own name

Abstract (Document Summary)

Before the hockey franchise arrived here, Providence already had its own Bruins. Brown University's official nickname may be the Bears, but it was interchangable with Bruins. The Journal-Bulletin no longer refers to Brown teams as "Bruins" to avoid any confusion.

The IHL's Minnesota Moose was deemed the best minor-league logo by the Hockey News. AHL teams in the top 10 included the Albany River Rats (2nd), Rochester Americans (5th), Hershey Bears (7th) and Syracuse Crunch (10th). New England's three other AHL franchises made the list - Worcester IceCats (18th), Portland Pirates (21st) and Springfield Falcons (27th).

For this to happen, the P-Bruins owners would have to realize the error of their ways and bring back the name Reds. It could be the Providence Reds or the Rhode Island Reds. Either name would be a huge improvement on P-Bruins.
