To whet appetites, a dish of bread paired with a briny olive tapenade made buttery with a pour of olive oil provided fair company while we narrowed down our choices. International wine menu Throughout the meal, we enjoyed a bottle of Marques de la Concordia, Crianza, Rioja, 2005 ($27), whose dark berry, spice and vanilla nuances were not completely outshone by the bold flavors of the evening.
