Numerous contested races are set for the April 3 nonpartisan election in the Fox Valley, with a smattering of Feb. 21 primaries trimming fields. The most noteworthy race happens in Appleton, where Mayor Tim Hanna is seeking his fifth four-year term against challengers Curt Konetzke, an alderman, and Donald Geenen, a first-time office-seeker. The greatest amount of activity, however, is on the Outagamie County Board, where redistricting has led to 21 contested races.
