Through the years, the seashore has had an agreement with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to set guidelines for hunters to shoot migratory ducks by standing on the shores of the seashore's inland waterways along Big Lagoon on Perdido Key and Santa Rosa Sound on Santa Rosa Island.
