The staff and volunteers at the Mount Dora Center for the Arts are wrapping up preparations for next weekend's Mount Dora Arts Festival.
The festival will showcase the work of 164 artists from around the country and 136 Florida artists, four of them from Lake County. They are Deborah Barnes, jewelry; Dick Codding and George Pandolph, wood carving; and Susan Vey, ceramics.
This will be arts center executive director Katy MacDiarmid's first year working on the festival. She and arts center volunteer John McCowan, who served as interim executive director before MacDiarmid's hiring in July, are co-chairing the event.
