Abstract (Document Summary)

[TED BUNDY] is considered an escape and security risk, said Bob MacMaster, a spokesman with the Florida Department of Corrections. Bundy came to Florida in 1978 after escaping from a maximum-security jail in Colorado. In 1984, he tried to escape from his death-row cell at the Florida State Prison in Starke. Bundy's attorneys, however, are worried about the potential threat to their client's life. Because of his nationwide notoriety, they don't think it's a good idea for him to leave his death-row cell.
