THE WAIT IS OVER FOR BAD ENGLISH-MAN WAITE
[3 STAR Edition]
Orlando Sentinel
-
Orlando, Fla.
This time around, [John Waite] has a good chance to stay at the top of the chart longer than the one week he had with "Missing You" in 1984. That's because there was a big shakeup in this week's rankings, with all of the rest of last week's Top 5 slipping out of contention. Moving up fast - but still not within striking range - are three newer challengers: Milli Vanilli's "Blame It on the Rain" (up from No. 12 to No. 4); Paula Abdul's "(It's Just) The Way That You Love Me" (from No. 9 to No. 5); and the B-52's' "Love Shack" (from No. 10 to No. 6).
