As many as 50 patients from Central Florida have used unapproved drugs, mostly ribavirin, AIDS support advocates said. Officials of Home Health Care Services Inc., an Orlando drug research and pharmaceutical group, said there also has been a high demand for dextran sulfate. It is waiting for approval from the FDA to distribute the drug to AIDS patients with doctors' approval.
