"If we dont [adopt them] some of these animals will be euthanized," [Richard Gentles] said. Desperate to avoid having to kill entire litters of kittens, shelter officials are offering fee discounts on cats and kittens - $30 for one cat, $45 for two. All three of the AC&Cs adoption centers, in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island, have kittens for adoption, from noon to 7 p.m. Call 311 for directions.
