Stephen Pack apologized for the April, 2000, needle attack in the parking lot of Montefiore Hospital, but his victim, Joy Schepis, said his words were not sincere. Pack, who repeatedly jabbed Schepis with a syringe containing a drug meant to cause contractions in a pregnant woman, has given up his license to practice medicine.
