[Tami Hoag]'s "Dust to Dust" breathes new life into the old good cop vs. bad cop genre. The follow-up to "Ashes to Ashes," this novel features Minneapolis police department partners Sam Kovac and Nikki Liska, who were bit players in the previous book. The book begins with Kovac and Liska called in to investigate the death of Andy Fallon, a gay internal affairs officer who's found hanging naked from a rafter in his bedroom. The word "Sorry" is scrawled across a full-length mirror directly across from Andy's body. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
