DING, DONG, NAPSTER'S DEAD
New York Post

New York, N.Y.
[NAPSTER] founder Shawn Fanning's thinking was admirable. Unfortunately, his creation turned out to be simply illegal. Come on. More than 50 million members listen to songs on Napster, then download 'em to their hard drives. How many then run to HMV to dole out $18 for the CD? It's becoming more apparent every day that "the Internet way," in its current form, doesn't work - not financially or legally. And in Napster's case, the prognosis is even clearer than for all the other imploding dot-coms. Reproduced with permission of the copyright owner.
