PAINT FOR PETS; SPRUCING UP THE CITY'S ANIMAL SHELTERS

New York, N.Y.
Starting this month, Publicolor will transform NYCACC's Manhattan and Brooklyn facilities. "Color is very powerful, and we are all negatively affected by its absence," explains Publicolor's Ruth Lande Shuman. "A simple coat of color, thoughtfully chosen and placed, can have a profoundly positive and long-lasting effect on the users of the painted space." Painting at the Harlem shelter (326 E. 110th St.) began last Monday and runs for three weeks; at the Brooklyn shelter (2336 Linden Blvd.), the three-week paint job begins Aug. 2.
