Hundreds of Post readers already have responded to the appeal published in this space Monday for letters and e-mails opposing parole for cop-killer Herman Bell, who hopes to walk free after 30 years behind bars.

The very night back in 1971 when Officers Waverly Jones and Joseph Piagentini were gunned down by Bell and two other Black Liberation Army terrorists, [Ray Kelly] was at work as a uniformed cop.
