[Thomas Suozzi] called [Eliot Spitzer] last night to congratulate the attorney general before delivering a concession speech to voters in Carle Place in which he endorsed Spitzer.
So far, GOP nominee John Faso's strategy has been to note that Spitzer - who has promised an array of new spending on education, health care and property tax relief - would be unable to fund all of his campaign pledges without tax increases. But Spitzer has said he would pay for those programs with $11 billion in savings he has identified in the state budget.
