Abstract (Document Summary)

[George W. Bush] plans to hit [John Kerry] hard on terrorism tomorrow in New Jersey, reviving charges that he does not understand the nature of the threat and will not combat it effectively, according to Bush campaign spokeswoman Nicolle Devenish.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Bush will focus on economic issues, moving on to health care on Thursday, Devenish said. On each issue, she said, Bush will seek to be "putting out bright lines and big differences" between himself and Kerry.

Kerry spokesman Mike McCurry said his candidate would begin making a "closing argument series of speeches" to the voters this week. He said Kerry would focus on domestic issues, including lost jobs, the rising federal budget deficit, Bush's decision to limit federal funding of stem cell research and his "dropping the ball" on the flu vaccine shortage.
