About 10 a.m. Saturday, [Lerome Hilson], who was in the restaurant on his scheduled cleaning shift, beat Moore with several blunt instruments that were in the restaurant then stole $1,000 from the safe, according to Assistant Chief Thomas Fahey.

Moore was the general manager of Pop, on Fourth Avenue and Pop Burger, at 60 Ninth Ave., handling the day-to-day business of these two restaurants owned by [Roy Liebenthal].
