Abstract (Document Summary)

[Zef Vulevic], who emigrated from Albania, had been in the restaurant business for more than two decades and owned several restaurants with his four brothers. In Manhattan, they include Fino on East 36th Street and Fino Wall Street in lower Manhattan. A third Manhattan restaurant, [Joe Vuli], lost its lease last month and was closed, according to [Ramy Hoti]. The other restaurants include three in Westchester County and one in Stamford, Conn.

Hoti said Vulevic had two children and had written a cookbook. "He was so creative with food. In love with the food," a shaken Hoti said. "He could do amazing things with pasta, fish, veal. He was one of the best in the U.S.A. It is a tragedy."
