When an employee complained about a co-worker lighting up at Action Envelope in Farmingdale, owner Sharon Newman sprang into action to determine whether the smoker had broken the law.
Newman greeted news of the e-tools enthusiastically. "I am so excited about this," said Newman, who is also president of the Long Island Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Small businesses, she said, "tend to do things by the seat of our pants and something like this could be helpful."
