Although the boys were not members of the Methodist Church - Capozzi's family is Roman Catholic and the Levintons are Jewish - two younger Capozzi children attended the church's Tender Shepherd nursery school, [Ralph Capozzi] said. And when the congregation decided to replace a tree that fell down on the church property, members voted to dedicate the new tree to the boys - in the process voting down proposals to dedicate it to Theodore Roosevelt, Jack Kennedy and Harry Truman, according to church minister, the Rev. David L. Parker.
