Lawyers for Yoko Ono and Seaman, onetime personal assistant to John Lennon, brokered a settlement Friday that ended a bitter decades-long court battle over the former Beatle's personal items. A tearful Ono took the stand and said she accepted the agreement while [Frederic Seaman] delivered a written apology 21 years after she fired him for stealing. As part of the deal, Ono agreed to return Seaman's diaries to him, which she purchased from another source 19 years ago. He was also allowed to retain the copyright on a 1980 photo called "John and [Sean Lennon] at the Beach," a photo Seaman claimed to have taken of the two at a Bermuda beach and used by Ono on the cover of a Lennon album. 1) Photo b Robert Mecea - Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon talk to reporters Friday after reaching a settlement with Frederic Seaman. 2) File Photo by robert Mecea - Frederic Seaman, former personal assistant to John Lennon. 3) Photo by Robert Mecea-Yoko Ono leaves U.S. District Court in Manhattan Friday after settlement (Pg.
