Home sales, prices increase in May

The median home price rose in eight of nine valley cities and the unincorporated area of Bermuda Dunes in May, with the exception being Rancho Mirage, where home sales were almost double the volume of last year but the median price fell to $430,000 from $520,000 in May 2011, said Greg Berkemer, CDAR's executive vice president.
